What was the Australian Thermomix Community Cooking in 2024?

According to official stats: 10.7 million kilograms of food. That’s about 2% of the 500,000 tonnes of food prepared in Thermomix worldwide 🤯

Globally, Vorwerk reported:

  • over 13 thousand tonnes of potatoes were prepared,
  • more than 8 thousand tonnes of rice were cooked, and
  • over 175 tonnes of pistachios were used.

And Australia followed suit – our number 1 Cookidoo recipe was Steamed rice (formerly known as Boiled rice, cooked 610,969 times) followed by Mashed potatoes for two (cooked 161,111 times). The only thing missing? Pistachios. Perhaps the Dubai chocolate craze hadn’t quite caught on here and the 2025 stats will show we embraced the pistachio trend.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Until then, scroll down to discover Australia’s top Thermomix recipes of 2024. You might discover your new favourite.

Top Cookidoo Recipes of 2024

Cookidoo is the subscription based website that lets you browse recipes, add them to meal plans and shopping lists, then follow them step-by-step on the screen on your TM7, TM6, or TM5 with Cook-Key. This list of recipes includes the “top” recipes shared with us by Thermomix in Australia: the ones owners searched for and interacted with the most in 2024. The ten “most cooked” recipes can be viewed in Australia’s Cookidoo Served 2024 collection on Cookidoo.

Thermomix Recipe Community Top Recipes of 2024

This year, Thermomix in Australia could only share Thermomix Recipe Community stats for the period between September and December 2024. I suspect that’s why Rum Balls has made the list!

“What is the Recipe Community?” you ask. It’s an online library of 32,000+ recipes created and submitted by Thermomix users from around the country. And like any good library, the recipes are free to use and adapt. Being free, these recipe don’t undergo rigorous testing by our Recipe Development team, so always check the comments for any fails or tweaks.

Some of these recipes have now been added to Cookidoo so you can cook along step-by-step on the screen of your Thermomix. Check out The Best of Recipe Community collection.

My Favourite Thermomix Recipes of 2024

I’m only 11 months late getting this up, but – in my defence – there was a new Thermomix model launched in that time that had all consultants run off their feet. Plus, I formatted a list of nearly 100 recipes. I went back and looked at last year’s list and realised I pulled up at the top 50 so this year there is double the chance that your favourite recipes made the list! How many have you tried?

In 2023, I had made only one recipe off the top Cookidoo recipes list (It was Beef Fajitas if you were wondering). But in 2024, the bakers dominated the list; I’ve made nearly every one of those baking recipes – sweet and savoury – and can recommend them all.

My most cooked Cookidoo recipes in 2024* were the same as last year, but – since my Mum shares my Cookidoo account and has perfected homemade bread – Everyday Sourdough and Beef Tacos have swapped places:
